Description

Hand Dyed Sock Yarn

This hand dyed sock yarn is a superwash Merino and Bamboo blend.  It is a beautifully soft yarn which has the added strength and flexibility of bamboo.

This versatile yarn is also fine enough to be worn next to the skin and drapes beautifully. As a yarn it is well suited to most projects that you would wish to undertake. The projects could, in additon to socks, include scarves, shawls, sweaters and hats. It can also be used in weaving projects.

Bamboo Yarn

Bamboo is renewable resource and it can be harvested without killing the plant.  It also has the advantage of growing and it only takes a few months before the plant is ready to be harvested again.  The bamboo plants help prevent soil erosion and conserve water.  Thes facts make it an environmentally-friendly choice of yarn.

In addition to the above features, Bamboo inhibits bacteria growth. Because of this it makes a great fibre for socks.
