Description

Hand Dyed  Merino/Nylon 4 ply Sock Yarn

This hand dyed merino/nylon 4 ply Deluxe Sock Weight yarn has 2 plies and a high twist

85% Superwash Extrafine Merino (19.5 micron) 15% Nylon Yarn (2/7.2Nm)

The two plies in this yarn are twisted tightly together to produce a very soft and springy yarn. The 2 plies make the yarn slightly bumpy which helps the strands of yarn hold together against each other making it great for colourwork and lace work. The thicker strands also help speckles pop even more.

The extrafine merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. A little nylon is added for extra durabilty.

This yarn is so versatile and can be used for any next to skin project (scarves, jumpers etc) as well as items where a little more durability is required such as socks and gloves.

Approx. 360m per 100gm hank

Recommended Needle Size: 2.5 – 4mm needle
Gauge (stocking stitch): 28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.25mm (US 3) needles

Care Instructions:

Please note there may be some colour bleeding due to the nature of hand-dyeing, so it is recommended that you wash your finished item separately.

Shape the products from this yarn whilst damp and dry flat.

Hand-dyed in a clean, smoke free environment.

All attempts are made to display the colours as accurately as possible, but they may vary depending on the device you are viewing them on and the lighting.
