Description
Hand Dyed Yarn – Baby Alpaca Double Knit Weight
About the yarn.
Alpaca is an amazingly soft yarn that is 3x warmer than wool, but is 1/3 of it’s weight. It is well suited to being a hand dyed yarn as it takes colour very well. The colour is often more muted than other types of fibre which gives it a softer look. It is known as a hypoallergenic wool as it contains no lanolin. Due to it’s low micron count it has a low prickle factor, making it suitable to next to the skin clothing projects.
