Description
Hand Dyed Yarn – Falkland Double Knit Weight
About the yarn.
As the name suggests, Falkland wool comes sheep that are farmed in the Falkland Islands and not in any other location. This particular hand dyed Falkland yarn originates from a Polwarth breed of sheep. It has a nice bulk and soft handle which makes it a good yarn for knitting. Due to the Falkland Islands being a British overseas territory, the yarn can be classed as 100% British.Â
This versatile yarn is fine enough to be worn next to the skin but it is also durable and hard wearing. As a yarn it is well suited to most projects that you would wish to undertake. The projects could include socks, sweaters and hats. It can also be used in weaving projects.
